It is no secret that Roald Dahl was one of our best loved children’s authors. Along with novels, he wrote poetry, short stories and screen plays.
On the 13th September he would have celebrated his 100th birthday, and so, here at Elsium HQ we’ve compiled a series of weekly blog posts in remembrance of the witty wordsmith, jam-packed with ideas to bring his marvellous, magical world to your classroom. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for tips and ideas on Roald Dahl themed projects and activities.
To get your creative juices flowing, ‘The Marvellous World of Roald Dahl‘ is available on BBC iPlayer. There’s also ‘Roald Dahl’s ‘Most Marvellous Book’ presented by David Walliams being shown on Channel 4, Sunday 4th September at 6:30pm.
Thanks for reading, and in the words of the great man himself:
“Never do anything by halves, if you want to get away with it. Be outrageous. Go the whole hog.” – Matilda, 1988.
